§         2004: Mobile IP:

An extension to the conventional Internet Protocol, is one solution that enables the combined operations of computing and mobile communications.

1.     Courses

§         CSCI 437 – Local and Metropolitan Area Networks: The course focuses on the broad and evolving field of computer networks. The aim of the course is to provide a balance among breadth, depth and timeliness. The practical considerations of planning and wiring networks will receive particular attention.

§         CSCI 435 – Wide Area Networks: The course intends to provide the student with the basics of the Wide Area Networks. The aim of the course is to provide a balance among breadth, depth and timeliness. Different types of networks and network protocols are discussed. The problems, possible solutions and existing implementations fo the following issues are discussed: Identifying a host on the net, Routing, Congestion Control, The internet, Security Issues and The Applications.
